Encouraging others in Christ

A cage isn’t a delightful place after all… is it?

The door is ALWAYS open for us to DELIGHT ourselves IN HIM…First, we must commit!

Do you ever feel as if your being held back from what you would really like to be doing in life? Sometimes, it’s hard to find the way out of our current situation. Whether it be health challenges, or every day life…it can be difficult.
As many of you know, I recently closed my business due to neck and back issues. In the beginning, my attitude was one of acceptance, and then it turned to one of questioning why? I soon adjusted my thoughts to accept that God’s plan for me was no longer in that direction.
PSALMS 37:4-5
4 Delight thyself also in the Lord;
and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the Lord;
trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

David tells us to take delight in the Lord and to commit everything we have and do to Him. But how do we do this? To commit ourselves to the Lord means entrusting everything- our lives, families, jobs, possessions- to His control and guidance. To commit ourselves to the Lord means to trust Him(37:5), believing that he can take care of us better than we can ourselves. We should be willing to wait (37:7) for Him to work out what is best for us.
To delight in someone means to experience great pleasure and joy in his or her presence. This happens only when we know that person well. So, to delight in the Lord, we must know Him better. Knowledge of His great LOVE for us will indeed give us delight.

FRUITFUL OBSERVATION: Sometimes we hold ourselves back and stay in our “cage” when in fact the Lord has the door wide open for us to come out and delight ourselves in Him.
Real joy comes from being in His presence!
Let’s take delight in the Lord and entrust Him with everything we have and do today and every day!

    Right on target! I’ve been writing my prayers down in a notebook and each week I am trying more and more to delight in the Lord and be happy in my current situation☺️

    Absolutely!!! Yes, I do some days have that caged in feeling!!! Not such a good feeling at all!! A feeling as if I’m being held back from things I so want to do or places I wanna go. That is my plan for my life. God’s plan is the right plan. The perfect plan… When I think about it being God’s plan to hold me back for a bit , just a bit longer Ginger. Just a little longer… His plan is the perfect plan for my life!!! He always knows what He’s doing… I may not but He does… Thank you Lord… Thank you Kim..

  5. Ah, but the truth always will set us free (John 8.32 ) free to trust and have faith in God’s perfect timing for all things concerning our well being. The peace He gives me during the waiting time is the best part of being still! ~ Blessings ~
